NLC Frequently Asked Questions

Preparing for NLC can feel overwhelming or even a little stressful, especially if it’s your first time attending. This page is here to guide you through common questions and help make your planning process easier and more organized. If you still have additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to a State Officer who can support and assist you every step of the way.

What is NLC and why is it important? 

NLC is FBLA’s National Leadership Conference where top members compete, attend workshops, and network with students from across the country.

Who attends NLC?

High school FBLA members, advisers, and state and national leaders from across the United States.

Is attendance required if I qualify?

 No, but it is highly encouraged because of the opportunities it provides.

What should I bring to NLC?

Business attire, casual clothes, toiletries, chargers, and competition materials (device you are presenting or testing off of)

How do I get from the hotel to the conference venue?

Shuttles will be provided to and from the conference venue from the hotel. Plan ahead! (More info coming soon)

 What is the dress code for NLC?

Business professional attire is required for events and general sessions.
