THIS INFORMATION WAS CLARIFIED BY NATIONALS ON DECEMBER 2ND TO ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS.

1.  A student who has competed as a team member in an event at NLC can participate in the same event one more time under the following circumstances:  1) they can be on a team a 2nd time as long as they are the only repeating member on that team, or 2) they can compete individually the 2nd time.  Ella Oentrich will be checking this for Kansas.

2.  For parliamentary procedures, 2 team members can repeat a 2nd time.

3.  For Business Plan and Business Financial Plan, the guidelines stated in question #1 apply.  For chapter events (American Enterprise, Community Service, Local Chapter Annual Business Report, and Partnership with Business), they can be a presenter for the project as many times as they wish.

4.  Written report projects are typically pre-judged by the same judges at the Kansas FBLA State Conference.  Because of this, they will know if a project is a current repeat of the same project.  Dawn Rottinghaus will also remind the judges to be looking for this as we send them the entries.  This, however, is not the case at nationals.  They never know who they are going to have to pre-judge reports.  HOWEVER, this is a reminder--the reports are now all being placed on the national website, so it will be known if they are the same reports.  In some cases they have all 10 placers at nationals.  There needs to be a significant differentiation in the project so that it is not the same project if you are presenting it again.
